FIREWALL EVANGELISM TRAINING IN RYLANDS, CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA 2 MAY 2026
On Saturday, 2 May 2026, Wheels for God’s Word Global presented Firewall Evangelism training at the Rylands Full Gospel Church in Cape Town.
Three months ago, this local initiative was kick-started by Raymond Lombard. The aim is to serve, equip, and grow the local churches of the Peninsula region of the Full Gospel Church of God in Southern Africa.
This was the second training session, and it was also attended by the Regional Overseer, Pastor Jimmy Francis. Pastor Ryan Laubscher from regional management arranged the training hosted by Pastor Marlene Cox, senior pastor at the Rylands FGC. Pastor Adri Theron presented the training.
Forty participants from various assemblies, including their pastors, attended the training. Due to rainy weather, the practical outreach could not take place. Most participants were ordinary members of the various assemblies who were obedient to the Great Commission, and the time was well spent in thoroughly teaching them the Heart of Man method of evangelism.
During a feedback session, pastors and participants alike testified that they always wanted to evangelise, but lacked the knowledge, confidence, and tools to do it. After the training and dedicated time in roleplay, they were fully equipped to return to their own neighbourhoods to evangelise. Many of these participants live in areas where gangsterism is rampant, and they realise that only the Gospel of Jesus Christ can bring a change. We thank God for His continuous favour upon His disciples and disciple makers.
